Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran conducted a Virtual Freshman Orientation Ceremony for its newbies to mark the commencement of the Academic Session 2021.Owing to the COVID restrictions, the orientation ceremony was held online for yet another year as compared to the conventional ceremony that is organized on campus. The Management officials and faculty extended a heart-warming welcome to the freshers.“CGCLandran has always ensured that students achieve their dreams and are provided with excellence in education. Even in these testing times, we are ascertaining that students’ education, as well as their safety, is not compromised in any way and their new academic journey begins on time.
with this orientation ceremony, we not only strive to introduce them to the core academic aspects but also seek to assure them that CGC has adapted itself to the new normal in education. We are eagerly looking forward to meeting the students on the campus once the situation allows, said Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu and President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal.The new students were acquainted with the significant aspects of college life including the curriculum, attendance requirements, student achievements, campus placements, international alliances, research and innovation, and particularly about the new blended learning teaching mechanism for online classes i.e. Learning Management System powered by Google. They were also presented with glimpses of how CGC managed the student activities, both academic and extracurricular, during the previous year when Coronavirus transformed the entire educational landscape.
