Exhorting the youth to avail maximum benefits of the seventh state level job fairs organized by the district administration from September 9 to 17, Punjab Youth Development Board (PYDB) Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra on Tuesday exhorted said that these mega job fairs organized by the state government under ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar scheme’ would open new vistas of employment for the youth of the district.Addressing a press conference in the office of District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), here, Bindra who has been recently inducted as member of governing council of DBEE said that job fairs would open number of avenues for the youth to be gainfully employed for living a life with dignity and pride.He said that 17000 jobs would be offered in these four job fairs and would select the youths as per their need and qualifications.Further, PYDB Chairman added that these job fairs would serve two purposes of providing jobs to needy youth of district on one hand and providing skilled manpower to cope up with the needs of local industry on the other.

He told that on September 9, first fair would be organized on Government ITI Gill road, second on September 13 in Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna, third on September 15 SRS Government Polytechnic College of Girls and last fair would be held at September 17 in CICU Focal Point. Bindra told that four of these fairs would be held from 10 am to 4 pm.Bindra added that adequate publicity of these melas should is being done by administration and DBEE so that more and more youth could know about these job melas.He said that 200 leading companies and industrial houses would be visiting these fairs to provide jobs to the unemployed youth and added that unemployed youth who are matric pass, 10+2, ITI, diploma holders, Graduates or post graduates must participate in these job fairs.He also called upon the youth to register them on www.pgrkam.com for more jobs.PYDB Chairman revealed that nearly 30266 youths have been employed through DBEE since November, 2018.Prominent among present on the occasion included Deputy Director Meenakashi Sharma, Deputy CEO Navdeep Singh, Placement Officer Ghanshyam, Guidance counselor Nidhi Singhi, Vikas Khosla and others.
