DC, SSP Samba appeal people to follow Covid SOPs

Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta and Senior Superintendent of police, Rajesh Sharma today appealed general public to follow covid 19 guidelines and covid appropriate behaviour strictly.Speaking at a press conference, the Deputy Commissioner said that off late public has not taken covid SOPs seriously as the covid cases in the district are resurfacing yet again.   “We need to be keen towards following covid appropriate behaviour as any laxity can reverse the situation as covid 19 pandemic is not over yet” added the DC Samba.The Deputy Commissioner asked the people to take vaccine and follow covid appropriate behaviour as these are the only potent protection against the covid pandemic.  The Deputy Commissioner informed that the enforcement teams comprising civil and police functionaries have been activated in the district to enforce the Covid guidelines and take action against the violators.  She said  District Samba has achieved 100% vaccination in 45+ age category and 89% in 18+ age category have been given at least one dose. She said  more than Rs 42 lakh fine  has also been recovered from the persons found violating  covid-19 SOPs.
