Ever since the entertainment reality show, Bigg Boss reprised itself with a brand new OTT season, the first of it’s kind, fans have been glued onto their screens LIVE 24X7, as they tune in to Voot Select for catching up with their daily dose of masala and madness. With renowned Bollywood actor, director and producer, Karan Johar taking over this year’s OTT season’s throne as the show’s presenter, there have been several controversial moments stirred up by fans and audience, over KJo's seemingly biased and unfair decisions taken at a stretch. From calling him out as a nepotistic and an unfair host to bashing him for passing derogatory and personal comments on contestants like Divya Agarwal and Zeeshan Khan, let’s have a look at some of the highly trending reasons, why KJo has been villainized and deemed as the worst host.

#1 Constant remarks and attacks against Divya Agarwal

It seems that Karan Johar has been targeting contestant Divya ever since the very first ‘Weekend Ka Vaar'. From commenting on her to be a self-made reality television star to bashing her and asking for the reason as to why she has come to this show if she doesn’t need it, KJo has waged a war with her. Recently, the Bollywood biggie also called her out for taking his names multiple times on the show and asked her to refrain from it and not talk about him if she can’t respect him. Karan also warned Divya to tone down because he has the authorities of being the host and she is just a contestant.

#2 Zeeshan and Milind call out KJo for being biased

Even though KJo made it clear on his part while talking to Divya, that he is a fair host and believes it to be his duty that he gets to put forth his opinions with full authority, some of the boys didn’t really find him to be fair. Contestants Zeeshan Khan and Milind Gaba called Karan a bias host, as he seems to be generous towards some female contestants who also happen to share the same film fraternity with him, like Shamita Shetty and Neha Bhasin. Zeeshan also complained of not being given enough chance to speak unlike them, and being judged as a 'misogynist' without valid justification.

#3 Favouring Nepotism

Very often referred to as “the flag-bearer of nepotism” by celebrities and audience, Karan Johar has yet again been criticized and called out by Bigg Boss OTT fans for being bias and nepotistic, as he seems to favour Shamita Shetty and his softer approach and gentler behaviour towards her can’t be ignored.

#4 ‘Karan Johar worse than Salman Khan’, says Sofia Hayat

An ex Bigg Boss contestant, Sofia Hayat has also taken a stand against the new OTT season’s unfair host, Karan Johar. She revealed, “Karan is worse than Salman Khan! They are promoting violence and nepotism… if this show were on in the UK, they would take it off-air immediately because it incites violent behavior and aggression. Karan is playing up to the old ways of insulting people to get high TRPs. It’s an old formula of Bigg Boss.”

#5 Ridhima and Karan speak up post eviction

Evicted contestants and show's former connection, Ridhima Pandit and Karan Nath put forth their opinions about Karan as a host. In conversation with ‘Telly Chakkar' Karan Nath opened up, "I don't know about Karan Johar being biased or not. I feel that I was ignored. Or rather not noticed. I am sad that when I did something good, it went unnoticed. I was trying to be good, but nobody wants to talk about the good part. He should have mentioned good things, too”, while Ridhima complained of not being given enough chance to prove herself on the show.

#6 Favouring his favourites!

When connection, Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat were declared safe from nominations due to immense vote and support by the audience, netizens were quick to point fingers at the host for having saved his favourite contestants and that it was not because of genuine votes.

Shamita and Raqesh were reportedly saved among other nominated contestants including, Pratik Sehajpal and Neha Bhasin and Milind Gaba and Akshara Singh.

#7 Zeeshan's unfair eviction

After getting involved in a nasty brawl with Pratik and Nishant, over the flag task which was being supervised by himself and his connection, Divya, Zeeshan Khan was evicted from the Bigg Boss OTT house for his violent behaviour, which obviously was deemed against the house rules. Ever since this sudden eviction, fans and celebrities have come out in support of Divya and Zeeshan, condemning this unfair act and some have even called out KJo while blaming him responsible. Zeeshan’s fandom, known as ‘ZSquad' came out in support of their idol, setting ‘Bring Back Zeeshan’ on trending all over Twitter.

#8 Zeeshan shared pictures of injury; Suffered an anxiety attack

Post eviction, Zeeshan Khan had taken to Instagram to share pictures showing the injuries he sustained after his physical banter with Pratik and Nishant, which eventually became the ultimate reason of him being thrown out of the house. He also suffered an anxiety attack on the show, which fans relate to KJo's unfair treatment towards him.
