A Spokesman of the State Government said here today that the Ministry of Human Resource and Development had approved Rs. 262 crore to the State for the financial year 2014-15 under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan. The Ministry had also agreed to include additional budget under quality plan thereby the actual approval would be in the range of Rs. 280 to Rs. 290 crore. He said that the Ministry had approved budget of Rs. 230 crore under Integrated Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) for this financial year to the State. He said that State Government has been emphasizing on covering all the Senior Secondary Schools in the State under ICT School Programme and 100 new Senior Secondary Schools would be covered under Vocational Education during current financial year. He said that The State Government has introduced horticulture and tourism as two new vocational subjects in the schools so that maximum students could get vocational education which was helpful for their employment and self employment avenues.
