Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects of around Rs. 55 crore in Ashla and Karsog in Karsog Vidhan Sabha area of district Mandi.Chief Minister laid foundation stone of Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) from Behna Khad to Sarahan, Teban, Gawalpur, Balidhar, Sanarali of Rs. 10.28 crore and LWSS Shahot, Nanj and Chouridhar under Jal Jeevan Mission worth Rs. 2.62 crore. He also laid foundation stone of Sarahan to Sanog road under to be constructed Mukhya Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna of Rs. 5.81 crore and Shakailar to Tuman road on Ghorli Khad to be constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 2.62 crore. He also inaugurated Khadargali to Somakothi road constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 2.80 crore.Jai Ram Thakur also laid foundation stone of Subject Matter Specialist, (Horticulture) office building of Rs.  1.26 crore at Karsog, expansion of Bhakrot-Sanarli-Kelodhar-Luhri road of Rs. 16 crore, Mamel to Bhanera road to be constructed with Rs. 4.55 crore and Sub Treasury office building to be constructed with expenditure of Rs. 1.4 crore. He also inaugurated Dabrot to Mahandi road of Rs. 2.91 crore, Primary Health Centre building at Seri Banglow of Rs. 85 lakh and Seri to Mahaban road constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 4.43 crore.Chief Minister while addressing the public meeting at Ashla and Karsog said that presently work on 51 water supply and irrigation schemes was in progress in Karsog Vidhan Sabha area by spending Rs. 77 crore. 

He said that the state government has constructed 13 link roads with an expenditure of approximately Rs. 42 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna in Karsog area. He said that under NABARD around 36 kilometer roads have been constructed in the area by spending Rs. 27 crore. Besides this, roads and bridges have been constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 16 crore under various State schemes.He said that during the period of last three and a half year about 12,802 cases of Social Security Pension have been approved in the area. He said that pension was being provided to 5824 persons aged above 70 years by spending Rs. 2.62 crore. He said that Rs. 1.28 crore have been spent on construction of houses in Karsog Vidhan Sabha area. Around 499 persons have been benefitted under Integrated Horticulture Scheme by spending Rs. 88 lakh during this period while Rs. 36 lakh have been spent under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Yojana. He said that construction of bus stand was in the final stage in Karsog on which rupees three crore were being spent.Jai Ram Thakur announced to upgrade Primary Health Centre Ashla to Community Health Centre, opening of Veterinary dispensary in  Ashla, upgradation of High School Richani to Senior Secondary School, upgradation of Middle School Bagh Chauwasi to High School besides Rs. 10 lakh each for construction of three link roads in the area.MLA Karsog Vidhan Sabha Hira Lal appraised the Chief Minister about the development works being carried out in his home segment. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating projects worth crores of rupees for people of the area.BJP Mandal President Karsog Kundan Singh Thakur and other senior BJP leaders of the area were also present on the occasion.
