The horrific incident of murder of Vegetable Vendor in city Moga happened the day before yesterday has been solved by the District Moga Police within 48 hours.  The main accused in the incident have been arrested along with the weapon and vehicle used in the incident. While divulging the details, Mr Harmanbir Singh Gill Senior Superintendent of Police said that Moga Police (PS City South Moga) received information that a vegetable vendor named Sukhwinder Singh S/O Baljit Singh R/O St. No 15, Preet Nagar Moga has been murdered while he was sleeping in his home along with his wife and children. FIR No. 0168 Dt. 23/07/2021 u/s 302, 34 IPC P.S. City South Moga was registered on the statement of the deceased person’s brother Bhupinder Singh S/O Baljit Singh. He said that a joint investigation team was formed consisting of teams from City South Police station, CIA Moga and Cyber Cell Moga. Forensic and Digital tools were also used to investigate the case.  On analysis of the crime scene, the investigation team noticed many discrepancies in the story narrated by the wife of the deceased Amandeep Kaur and the circumstances observed at the crime scene. The facts such as wife did not notice anything despite sleeping next to the husband at the time of the murder and the timings reported by her pointed the needle of investigation towards the wife.

The other family members of the deceased also pointed towards the wife. On interrogation, the wife finally confessed to her crime and gave the details about her partners in crime. The CDR, IPDR and CCTV footage analysis have also corroborated the story.Amandeep Kaur revealed that she met Sandeep Singh S/O Darshan Singh through a social media app called ‘Ola Party’ about 8-9 months back. About 2 months back, she along with Sandeep Singh S/O Darshan Singh and Jasbir Singh S/O Gurmail Singh hatched a conspiracy to eliminate her husband so that she could marry Sandeep Singh.
