While briefing media, today, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya has appealed people to follow Covid Appropriate Behavior and other guidelines including wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, washing hands properly besides avoiding social gatherings to contain the spread of virus.The Deputy Commissioner said that recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases and decreasing trend in positive cases continues, adding that the recovery rate is better than rate of new active cases so far.He also Informed that several places have been designated for vaccination and the teams constituted for the purpose are available there. He urged people to come forward and get themselves inoculated against the disease. Mr Sachin appreciated people for their better cooperation and appealed to Civil Society Members, Lumberdars, Auqaf Committees and Chowkidars to come forward and motivate 18+age group to get themselves vaccinated at the nearest places of their areas to save their precious lives.He said that weekend restrictions have been lifted and the shops are open but stressed for adopting SOPs and other guidelines issued by the Administration, time to time. He said acting upon the SOPs/guidelines issued by the Administration are for the benefits and protection of people and asked them to flow these strictly.The Deputy Commissioner said that work on various developmental projects in RDD and PDD have been started smoothly across the district where all necessary guidelines are being followed to protect manpower from any ill effect of Covid-19.
