The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today briefed the media on the current covid scenario and mitigation efforts put in place in the district.Giving details, the DC said that the active cases have drastically decreased in the district from the last four weeks. She said in the starting of the current month total Active cases in the district were almost 1400 which have come to 741 till ending last week and among which 683 are in home isolation.Presenting details about the tests done last week, she said 8000 tests were done including 5400 RAT tests and the positivity rate has also decreased in the district.  The DC said that field functionaries including Heath teams, Tehsildars, BDOs and officials of other departments are always available to the people to redress their grievances on spot. And to further enhance the grievance redressal mechanism, the district administration has designed nodal officers at the district level for all medical blocks of the district, she added.While elaborating, she said that CPO and Dy. CEO have been designated for Block Ganderbal, Additional Deputy Commissioner and GM, DIC are designated for Kangan block, ADDC for Block Wakura and DFO, Sindh Forest Division for block Lar.
