Let’s Make Our Society a Better Place to Live! With the view to take this objective forward, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized the Parvaah Campaign – Live Green, Go Green – an initiative to enhance biodiversity by planting trees. A number of staff members including Director Management, Dr. Jaskiran Kaur and Associate Director, Mr. Sahil Kapoor planted trees in the college campus. The event was posted on social media and received widespread acclaim and was even liked by Wildlife Trust of India.

CGC Jhanjeri students, even though staying at their homes adhering to COVID-19 lockdown, also participated actively in the event and planted tree saplings in and around their homes. This is not the first time when CGC Jhanjeri students have taken part in social welfare activities, visit to old home, drug de-addiction campaign, road safety campaign, save water campaign, are among the many other activities that are conducted here.

We are living in a time where natural habitat is compromised for the sake of development and there has been a continuous depletion of oxygen because of this. Activities like these have become all the more important. Speaking on the occasion, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC stated, “at CGC Jhanjeri students are given not only academic prowess, but are also inculcated with moral and social values, and are engaged in such activities on a regular basis.”
