Chairperson DDC Kathua discusses modalities to finalize plans under Capex Budget 2021-22

To discuss the modalities for the formulation of developmental plan under District Capex Budget 2021-2022, District Development Council Chairperson Kathua, Mahan Singh, today chaired a meeting of DDC members and concerned District officers, here at conference Hall of DC Office Complex.Vice Chairman, DDC, Raghunandan Singh; District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav; Senior Superintendent of Police, R.C Kotwal; Chief Planning Officer,  DDC members, XEN PDD, CMO, CEO, XEN PHE, XEN irrigation, XEN PWD besides other District officers attended the meeting.The Deputy Commissioner apprised the DDC members about various modalities and guidelines for the formulation of the plans under the District Capex budget 2021-22. He asked the DDC members to utilize the DDC grant amounting to Rs 10 crore judiciously in high priority sectors under District Development plan in coordination with the line departments.

He informed the DDC members that a special thrust shall be laid on formulation of viable District Employment plan, District Drinking Water plan, District Health plan, District Sports activity plan and District Road Development plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department.The DDC Chairperson urged all the DDC members and District officers to coordinate with each other in formulation of rational plans maintaining the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj.He further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during this financial year in their respective jurisdiction. He also laid special stress on the execution and completion of the work taken up under previous year plan.The DDC chairperson laid stress on taking these projects in convergence mode so that the pace of these works is not hampered and tangible results were achieved in the implementation of all the schemes in the stipulated time period.
