One-day farmers’ awareness cum interactive programme was today organized at Town Hall by the District administration Doda as part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations.Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, while around 100 farmers participated in the program with great enthusiasm.A detailed presentation was given by ADC Doda/Regional Director Surveys & Land Records, Kishori Lal Sharma through which the farmers were informed about the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme, (DILRMP) under which, an Integrated Land Information Management System is being developed across the country, which includes geo-mapping of land and digitization of revenue records which includes Jamabandis, Masavis etc.He informed the participants about the status of scanning and quality check of the revenue documents which is going on at a rapid pace and shall be available in the public domain at an earliest for the convenience of the general public especially for the farmers who have to avail the loan benefits and get the registration done under KCC and PM KISSAN schemes.Appreciating the initiative, the Deputy Commissioner said that public would witness an era of transparency and accountability as anybody from the public would be able to view ones land records from anywhere at any time.
