Stressing that the vaccination is the best way to flatten the curve of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, MLA from Payal constituency Lakhbir Singh Lakha on Thursday started an immunization camp in Doraha grain market.Accompanied by SDM Payal Mankanwal Singh Chahal in the camp, MLA said that vaccine is completely safe and effective and those countries where vaccination was started earlier from India, have been witnessing few cases of Covid.He said that people must come forward for getting the jab as it would help to create herd immunity and would help to break the transmission chain of the virus.He also asked the vaccinated people to dispel misinformation about the safety of vaccines and solicited the support of representatives of Panchayats, block smitis, and commission agents to curb the infectious disease.MLA also lauded ex-president MC Bant Singh Daburji and other councillors for getting the jab in the camp.MLA also showed his keenness for the vaccine but the medical doctors denied permission to do so as the latter was tested positive a few weeks back and come out of isolation recently.Meanwhile, he also inspected a camp organized in village Dhamot under Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna and exhorted people to take maximum benefit of cashless insurance offered under the scheme.
