World Water Week 2021: DC Rajouri flags off awareness Van

To disseminate awareness regarding water conservation and preservation, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan on Tuesday flagged off an Awareness Van here from the DDC Office Complex.SSP, Chandan Kohli; BDC chairman, Darbar Choudhary; ADC Rajouri, Sher Singh; SE Jal Shakti Department, SR Shukla; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat and ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, ExEn PWD Rajouri, Mohd Zubair besides other officers were present on the occasionWhile speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that District Administration in collaboration with the Jal Shakti Department, RDD and PRIs has decided to generate massive awareness among the masses about the importance of freshwater and preservation of this precious gift of nature.The Deputy Commissioner listed the measures taken to provide safe drinking water supply to all the households of the district.  He informed that focus is being laid on the early completion of new PHE Schemes and the restoration of the dysfunctional hand pumps.The Deputy Commissioner urged upon the people to actively participate in such campaigns and play a constructive role in water conservation and preservation by ensuring judicious use of this valuable gift of nature.
