Punjab Forest Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot called on a delegation of the Forest Workers Union here today and assured them of a speedy resolution of their legitimate demands.Disclosing this Cabinet Minister said that a thorough process would be followed to prepare a proposal for regularizing the services of temporary/contract employees. He said that directions had also been issued to the officials to prepare the seniority list of the employees based on the proper records. Mr. Dharamsot directed the officials of the department to clear the pending dues of the employees and funds for procuring uniforms and ensuring uniformity in the daily wage rates. He also directed the officials to follow departmental process for paying dues to employees.Among others who were present on the occasion are Chief Forest Conservator Jatinder Sharma, MD Forest Corporation Anoop Upadhyay, Additional Chief Forest Conservator Parveen Kumar and Senior Officers & members of Forest Employees’ Union.
