Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today visited Rajinder Singh Pura (Bagoona) Samba, and chaired a meeting with heads of various departments to review the arrangements for the celebration of 75 years of Independence “Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”- India @ 75.Pertinently, the Lieutenant Governor has directed to organize celebration activities across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly at the Birth places of freedom fighters and martyrs to mark the 75th year of Independence.The Grand event will be organized at Rajinder Singh Pura Bagoona village of district Samba, the birth place of Son of Soil and Savior of Jammu and Kashmir, Brigadier Rajinder Singh. The event would be inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.The Divisional Commissioner asked the concerned officers to start preparations well in advance, He asked them to work out a plan for arrangements like cleanliness and beautification of the venue, rehearsals for cultural programmes, seating arrangements, besides preparation of list of guests, including the relatives and family members of Brigadier Rajinder Singh.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria; SSP Samba, Rajesh Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra; Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur, CP Kotwal; District Informatic Officer, Sanjeev Kapoor; District Information Officer  Ajay Sharma; Block Development Officer, Sona Gupta; besides senior functionaries of Army;  Border Security Force (BSF) and other concerned departments.
