DDC Kulgam convenes meeting of District Level Task Force

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a meeting of District Level Task Force (DLTF) to ensure availability and distribution of quality pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers and seeds in the district.The meeting was informed that 800 Metric Tons of Urea, 1700 Metric Tons of MOP and 800 Metric Tons of DAP are available in the district.The DDC directed the line officers to work religiously as a team and leave no space for sale of illegal/spurious drugs in the district.He directed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kulgam for involvement of Revenue Officers (Tehsildars) and Legal Metrology Department to keep tab on the rates and to ensure quality pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers and seeds remain available throughout the season in the district.The DDC also directed a checking/flying squad that batch wise sampling of all the licensed dealers be done so that the illegal stocking/ sale of spurious drugs can be checked.It was informed that adequate stock of fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides and required seeds are available.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Joint Director Planning, Chief Horticulture Officer Kulgam, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Agriculture Extension officer and Law Enforcement Inspector besides other concerned officers.
