Exhibition Of The Victory Flame At Schools Across Fazilka

On its journey across the country, the Victory Flame has been slated to be displayed at numerous schools igniting the imagination and passion of young, curious minds, giving them a sense of the importance of this occasion. In Fazilka, the Victory Flame was displayed at 18 schools, across three days 25, 26 and 27 February in nominated villages where the maximum number of Veer naris and Veterans reside. In each school, the Victory Flame was escorted by a retinue of army personnel dressed in their finest ceremonial uniforms. Their grand entrance was followed by a short introduction on the historical significance of the Victory Flame, hoisting of the national flag and singing of the National Anthem by the students of each school. Each event was honoured by the presence of Veer naris, Veterans, the sarpanch of the village, the school headmaster and the school children. Towards the end, sweets and refreshments were distributed to everyone.The enthusiasm of the children was evident with many of them showing a keen interest in joining the armed forces and asking pertinent and intelligent questions. The Victory Flame reignited a deep sense of patriotism amongst all the participants. On 01 March 2021, Fazilka Military Station will be organising an Army Mela. The planned events for the day include a display of some of the Indian Army’s state of the art weaponry, a display  by the Army’s talented marching bands amongst
