The District Administration Kulgam, today, organized Mega Block Diwas in 3 blocks of the district to take appraisal of the peoples issues, grievances and demands.During the programme several functions were held at Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora blocks of the district. Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the people for timely redressal at all the three venues.Meanwhile to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, remained available at  Block Complex Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.People from all over the areas which includes Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Pombay, Kulgam and other areas apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues and put forth their demand for redressal.Speaking on the Occasion DC said that the main objective of the programme is to mitigate the problems and grievances of the people.The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officers and officials of all departments to remain available for public use at all times to mitigate the issues of public priority.The DDC also directed the Chief Education Officer to ensure adherence of COVID-19 Protocols in view of reopening of schools.Tehsildar, BMO, BDO's and other officers besides PRI members and a large number of general public participated in the programme.Meanwhile, the DC inspected ongoing work of Chmabagund Kulgam bridge and urged upon the concerned officers to maintain the pace of work and ensure timely completion of the project.He also said that work on several major work projects is going on in full pace in the district and work on several work projects stands already completed.He was informed that the project is being executed by R&B and funded by the World Bank under the Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project, (JTFRP).He was accompanied by Tehsildar Kulgam, AEE of R&B Department and other officers of district administration.
