Mission Director NHM inspects patient care facilities at Gandhi Nagar Hospital

Mission Director National Health Mission, J&K, Choudhary Mohammed Yasin, on Monday inspected NHM supported facilities available at the Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar. He was accompanied by Additional Director, NHM, J&K, Hitesh Gupta, and Divisional Nodal Officer, NHM, Jammu, Dr Narinder Bhatial.The Mission Director took a detailed round of the IPD Block, Special Newborn Care Unit, District Early Intervention Center etc. He also reviewed the progress of DNB courses run through NHM in the hospital. During the visit, he shared important observations with Medical Superintendent for provisioning better and improved healthcare to the patients. He also took stock of beneficiary registration and claim processing under Ayushman Bharat.The Mission Director also took his COVID Vaccination jab in the hospital and appealed all the frontline workers to come forward for vaccination on their scheduled date and do not pay heed to hearsay and instead believe in experts and scientists.Meanwhile, the Mission Director placed on record his deep appreciation of the efforts being made by the Hospital team for achieving National Quality Certification under NQAS and UT level commendation certificate under Kayakalp.It is pertinent to mention here that Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has accorded National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification to District Hospital Gandhi Nagar in the Union Territory in recognition of the high standards of quality and performance maintained by the hospital following which the hospital and its staff shall be receiving a special annual grant of Rs 15 lakh for 3 years from NHM.
