The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned the unfortunate incident that took place at the Red Fort on Tuesday and stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government was behind the same and let the situation get worse. Addressing the media at party head office in Delhi, national spokesperson and party's Punjab unit co-incharge Raghav Chadha said the entire nation saw that how the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi government tried to end the peaceful campaign of the farmers who had been struggling for the last two months, through Deep Sidhu and discredit them. He said that Deep Sidhu had not done such an act for the first time. Chadha said that since the beginning of the movement, Deep Sidhu was working day and night in collusion with PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to create a schism among the farmers and end the movement. Deep Sidhu's relationship with Sunny Deol is not hidden from anyone, he added.Chadha said that Deep Sidhu did not have the ability to execute yesterday's event and did this shameful incident with the help of Modi-Shah and central agencies. "Yesterday, the whole Punjab came to know that Deep Sidhu, Sunny Deol, BJP and Akali Dal are all together and their main task is to weaken the farmers' movement," he added. He further said that Deep Sidhu had an age-old relationship with the Deol family. Many pictures of Deep Sidhu with Sunny Deol, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were viral on social media. Chadha said it was proved by looking at those pictures that it was the plan of the BJP to involve Deep Sidhu in the farmers' movement and execute the Red Fort incident. "Deep Sidhu is a member of the BJP's sleeper cell and was planted by the Modi government to suppress the farmers' movement," he added.
Strongly denying the allegations levelled by Congress that a man present at the Red Fort on Tuesday was a member of the AAP, Chadha said that the party had nothing to do with the people, who were being linked to the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that Captain and the Congress Party, under their poor political agenda, had declared an anonymous man, Amrik Singh, who was present at the Red Fort on Tuesday, as the member of AAP. "By stating this man Amrik Singh as the member of AAP, Captain and Congress not only are misleading the people, but they are also saving Deep Sidhu and his ilk. We want to make it clear that the Aam Aadmi Party has nothing to do with this person and anyone involved in such activities. We condemn all such works which harm the image of the farmers' movement," said Chadha.The AAP leader further said that Amrik Singh Mickey, whom Congress was referring to be of the Aam Aadmi Party, was in fact an old ally and special person of the BJP and SAD. He said that it was clear from the photos of Amrik Mickey with BJP national leaders and several senior leaders of Akali Dal Badal that he had an old and deep connection with these parties. He added that Amrik Mickey has also been involved in campaigning for BJP-Akali Dal alliance candidate Sunny Deol from Gurdaspur during 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He said that like many others, Amrik Mickey was close to Sunny Deol.Regarding the photo which was being falsely linked to the AAP leaders, Chadha said that the leaders of the party met the common man lovingly without any hesitation. He said that during that time many people took photos of the leaders while giving them bouquets of flowers and posted them on their social media, but not all the leaders knew who they were associated with. "If someone takes a photo with one of our leaders, it does not mean that we support his views and poor antics. This person is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and Akali Dal and we have a lot of evidence that proves he is closely related to Sunny Deol, other BJP leaders and Akali Dal," he added.
While releasing the photos of Amrik Singh with BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP MP Hansraj Hans, Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the AAP leader said that these pictures were a strong proof of this man's deep connection with Akali-BJP leaders. "It was very unfortunate that even Captain Amarinder Singh did not miss out on dirty politics in such a sensitive time," said Chadha. He said that today when the farmers leaders had made it clear that the BJP, RSS agencies and the government were working together to divert the farmers' movement; Captain had sided with the Modi government to divert the attention of the people from this issue by making baseless statements.Chadha said the AAP had been saying from day one that Captain in collusion with the Modi government was working to suppress the farmers' movement. "Captain Amarinder Singh did not utter a single word against those, which the farmers associations accused of carrying out the unfortunate incident at Red Fort. Captain wanted to divert the attention of the people by making false allegations against AAP in order to save BJP and RSS. Modi has tasked Captain to save BJP and Deep Sidhu," he said.Chadha further said that Captain Amarinder in collaboration with BJP, first made these black laws and then tried to mislead the people of Punjab by lying, and now had come forward to save the BJP and government agencies for yesterday's incident. "Captain in collusion with Modi is working on the latter's agenda. Captain was not the Chief Minister of Punjab or Congress party, but is the Chief Minister of BJP," he added. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh should give up these dirty politics and stop working with Modi to discredit the farmers' movement.
