The full dress rehearsal for the 72nd Republic Day parade, on Sunday, concluded successfully across all the districts of Kashmir, giving a glimpse of the grand spectacle to unfold on Tuesday.The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual Republic Day parade scheduled to be held on January 26.In Srinagar, the full dress rehearsal was held at S.K Stadium where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole hoisted the National flag and took salute at the March–past.The Div Com later in an open jeep also inspected the parade led by Parade Commander, Benam Tosh (SSP IRP 17 BN) and SP Surinder Kumar as Assistant parade commander.On the occasion, various contingents including BSF, CRPF, SSB, JKAP, IRP, lady contingent, SDRF, F&ES and FPF  participated in the March- past parade, besides band contingents of BSF and JKP also participated in the March- past.A variety of cultural programmes organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, (JKAACL), were presented by both male and female artists during the rehearsals. Artists enthralled guests and audience with their colourful performances in different languages.On the occasion, a special yoga training session was demonstrated by young yoga trainees, who received appreciation for their skilful performances.Various senior civil administration and police officers were present on the occasion.

At Budgam:  The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmad presided over the full dress rehearsal at Sports Stadium Budgam.The ADC hoisted the National flag, inspected the parade and took salute on the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF and Home Guards.In his address, ADC highlighted the importance of the Constitution adding that it enables us to live with dignity, provides fundamental rights for each section of the society, eradicates social discrimination, and also give us right to self-governance.Later, a variety of cultural programmes were presented by various schools enthralling audiences with their performances.Additional SP Budgam, Amit Verma, ACR, and other Civil and Police officers were also present on the occasion.

At Ganderbal: The full dress rehearsal was presided over by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba at Qamaria Ground, here.On the occasion, the ADC unfurled the tricolour, took the salute at the march-past, presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, Home Guard and school children.The ADC inspected the parade and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.On the occasion, colourful cultural items and theme based skits as part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by well-known local artists and school children. The event was witnessed by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, ACR Ganderbal, DYSP Headquarter besides various other civil and police officers.

At Pulwama: The full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Line Pulwama, where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, Shabir Ahmad Raina hoisted  National Flag and took salute at the march past comprising of the contingents from CRPF, District Police, JKAP, Home guard and Rehbar e Khel .On the occasion, rehearsal of colourful cultural programs were presented by the artists.Senior officers from Police and civil administration were present on the occasion.Similar function was held at DPL Awantipora where Tehsildar Awantiopra  hoisted the National flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF and NCC cadets.

At Baramulla: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf presided over the full dress rehearsal held at District Police Lines Baramulla.The ADDC hoisted the National Flag and took salute on the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, NCC, Home Guard and school children.Various colourful programmes were also presented on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the developmental scenario of the district and said that a series of developmental works have been taken up while a number of schemes are being taken up for the welfare of the people under various sectors.Among others, SSP Baramulla Ab Qayoom, ADC Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, Officers of the District Administration besides PRI members and civil society were present on the occasion.

At Anantnag: The full dress rehearsal was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh at District Police Lines (DPL), here.The ADC unfurled the National flag and took salute at the March Past presented by the contingents of CRPF, J&K Police, IRP, F&ES.Addressing the gathering, ADC stressed on the importance of Secularism and Fundamental Rights as guaranteed by the constitution, he also urged the people to abide by all the Fundamental Duties which are very essential for nation building.On the occasion, cultural programmes with songs on patriotism, folk etc were also presented.Senior officers from the Civil & Police administration participated in the function.Full dress rehearsals were also held at Subdivisions of Pahalgam, Dooru, Bijbehara, Kokernag  and also at Tehsil Headquarters of the District.

At Shopian: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr Ab Aziz Sheikh inspected the full dress rehearsal held at District Police Lines, Shopian.On the occasion, the ADC unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the March Past presented by the contingents of CRPF, JK Police, Home guards and school children of various educational institutions besides contingents of Youth Services & Sports Office, Fire & Emergency Service and Forest Protection Force.A variety of colorful, cultural programmes were presented by the students of various educational institutions depicting national integration, unity in diversity.Speaking on the occasion, ADC highlighted the contribution of frontline workers who worked with full determination and dedication during Covid-19 containment in the district, reducing the statistics to zero.Among others, senior officers of the Civil Administration, Police department , DDC members besides others were present.

At Kulgam: The full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines, Kulgam where Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.The march past was presented by contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, IRPF, Home Guard, Police band, new police recruits, school children and other contingents.Cultural programmes and Martial art shows were also presented on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion ADDC congratulated the people and highlighted the developmental scenario  of the district and achievements booked under various schemes & sectors in the district. He also highlighted the measures which were put in for containing the COVID-19Among others, A-SP, ACR, DSP-DAR and other officers and officials from police and civil administration were present on the occasion.

At Bandipora: The full dress rehearsal was held at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium  Bandipora where Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir inspected the parade and took salute on the March past.The March-past was presented by the contingents of CRPF, JK Executive Police, JKP womens wing, SPOs, , NCC cadets, Home Guards and students from different schools also took part in the event. The School children and CRPF on the occasion presented colourful cultural programmes while JKP displayed Martial art performance  that enthralled the audience and received a huge applause from them.While addressing the gathering, the ADC highlighted the performance of the district during the current financial year under various state and centrally sponsored schemes. He made a special mention of the Back to village Programme, My Town-My Pride , Block Diwas  and other programmes wherein focus was laid on grievance redressal.Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Deputy Superintendents of Police, District Officers and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

At Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Nazir Ahmad Lone presided over the full dress rehearsal held at District Police Lines Kupwara.The ADC unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at march-past presented by contingents from JKP, JKAP,  CRPF, IRP, Home Guards, FPF, SPF and police band.He enlisted the developmental activities being carried out in the district, especially in border areas.A variety of cultural programs and martial art was presented by the school children, Police and Information Department, Kupwara.On the occasion ASP Kupwara,  civil and police officers were present.The full dress rehearsal was also held at District Police Lines Handwara and  Karnah Sub-Division where respective Tehsildars unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade & took salute at March past.
