Arrangements for Covid-19 vaccination drive finalised at Ganderbal

The District Administration Ganderbal today informed that two vaccination centers have been established at District Hospital and SDH Kangan for the inauguration of Covid-19 vaccination drive on January 16th in the district.This was stated by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal during a meeting here to finalise the arrangements for Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district.On the occasion, the DC reviewed the preparedness including the status of logistics and manpower required to assist the teams of the health department for vaccination and finalised the arrangements to be put in place for smooth conduct of the programme.It was also informed that in the first phase, 17 other vaccination centers will be functional in the district during which health and frontline workers shall be vaccinated.The CMO informed that the first batch of vaccine has been received, while necessary deployment of staff has also been done including two vaccinators, Security Officer and a Data Entry Operator for each vaccination centre.The DDC directed the concerned officers to work in a mission mode to ensure the successful conduct of the COVID19 vaccination drive in the district.The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO, CMO, BMOs and other concerned.
