Municipal Commissioner inaugurates Blood Donation Camp

In line with Mission Fateh, a blood donation camp was organized at Nirankari Bhawan, Phase-6, SAS Nagar.  The camp was inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kamal Kumar Garg.  He said that more and more youth should come forward to donate blood so that there would be no shortage of blood in the blood banks due to the epidemic.  He said that blood donation is a noble deed and no donation is greater than this.Kamlesh Kaushal, Secretary, District Red Cross Society apprised the gathering about the importance of wearing a mask to avoid Covid-19, washing hands thoroughly with soap and maintaining social distance. He also appealed to people to donate because all the public welfare works being carried out by the Red Cross Society can only be done with the help / donations given by the public.  There is a dire need for public support / donations at this time so that public welfare work can be carried out easily during this epidemic.  In the blood donation camp set up today a team of doctors from District Hospital Phase-6 SAS Nagar collected 92 units of blood.
