B2V3: 2nd leg of public outreach activities begin across 44 Panchayats of Kishtwar district

The first day of the second leg of the third edition of Back to village today witnessed series of activities here across 44 Panchayats of   4 blocks of Nagseni, Thakraie, Mughal Maidan and Dachhan of District Kishtwar.The visiting officers were overwhelmingly welcomed by locals and PRIs followed by the conduct of the interactive meetings.The Visiting Officers listened to their grievances besides documented the same for further records and early redressal.The visiting officers conducted inspection of the important establishments/ institutions,  Panchayat ghars, schools, PHCs, food stores, AWCs and other Govt setups to review the local infrastructures.Ward Sabhas were conducted in all the wards  wherein local developmental plans were discussed at length to strengthen the participatory democracy.Besides the proceedings were recorded and signed by concerned PRIs.The visiting officers also inspected the ongoing developmental works undertaken under capex,14FC, MGNREGA etc.The Citizen Information Boards at each Panchayat- listing the works of RD& PR department with name of sarpanch on it and wall paintings listing all the works executed last year were checked.Meanwhile, the field line functionaries of Sheep and animal Husbandry department visited the houses of the farmers,  examined their  sheep  animals and the cattle  for various diseases and  medicated them at the farmers’ doorsteps.At various places, the District Social Welfare Department organised the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan to educate and aware the youths and the locals about the menace of drugs addiction in society.
