2342 Unemployed Youth of kapurthala get Jobs in 6th Mega Job Fair

The 6th Mega Employment Fair organized by the Punjab Government to provide employment to the youth of the state has concluded today, which has provided employment to 2342 unemployed youth of kapurthala district.A state-level virtual function in this regard was held at Patiala under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh in which Congress MP Mr Rahul Gandhi was specially present.A district-level function was held at the meeting hall of the local district administrative complex, which was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner Mrs Deepti Uppal.Deputy Commissioner said that a 3263 youth were participated in the employment fairs held across the district ,out of which 2342 youth got employment in these fairs. Twelve renowned companies provided jobs in these fairs, which includes maximum annual package by the brain box company.Following the guidelines issued by the Punjab Government to prevent the spread of Corona, the youth participated in these fairs with great enthusiasm via online resulting in to grab the job opportunities even in the covid times.The newly employed youth , on the occasion said that they were looking for jobs but due to lockdown and Corona it was very difficult to find a place in MNCs but with these job fairs, they were selected with the assistance and guidance from the district administration.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC (D) SP Angra, district bureau employment officer Neelam mahey, Amit Kumar and Gaurav kumar.
