B2V3 in Anantnag : DDC addresses large gathering at Srigufwara

Continuing with the public outreach programme on 4th day of B2V3, DDC Anantnag K K Siddha today visited Panchayat Halqa Sirigufwara of Block Dachnipora and addressed a large gathering of general public including PRI members and youth.The DDC asked the public to take advantage of the B2V3, aimed at assessment of needs and enlisting of public demands and grievances by visiting officers to help in plan formation for the next year plan of Panchayat halqas in assistance with panches and sarpanches.He also said that Visiting Officers are taking stock of the status of work done of demands raised in B2V1and B2V2 held during 2019.The youth of Banderpora village put forth the demand for the development of Play field, removal of encroachment. The DDC assured the youth that illegal encroachments will be removed and directed the BDO to develop one play field in every Panchayat halqa subject to the availability of the land.The DDC distributed sports kits among youth, trophies and mementos among civil, Police officers, media persons and frontline health workers.He directed BDO to ensure distribution of sports kits among the teams of each Panchayat halqa worth Rs. 20000, out of the recently released Rs. 10 lac as part of BTV3 programme.The DDC also directed the BDO to identify 02 educated youth from each Panchayat halqa so that financial assistance can be provided to them for their self-employment.He asked the youth to come forward and register themselves with Police administration to avail professional coaching for sports, competitive exams and added that the district Administration is preparing a comprehensive skill database of the youth so that they can be provided training in multiple skills as per their potential.The DDC asked the BDO and PRI members to identify the students of weaker sections of society so that district Administration can assist them financially for higher education, books, uniforms and laptops.
