Member of Parliament (MP) Santokh Singh Chaudhary on Friday flagged off four ambulances from the district administrative complex.The four ambulances have been donated by Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd under CSR against Covid-19 to the district administration.Accompanied by MLAs Rajinder Beri, Chaudhary Surinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori and Jalandhar Mayor Jagdish Raj Raja, Member of Parliament said that this would help the administration to fight the pandemic effectively and efficiently.He said that the Punjab Government has been ensuring best possible care and treatment to the Covid-19 patients especially critical patients.He said that a major focus is being laid to take care of old and vulnerable populations with co-morbidities who are at high risk of developing severe illness. He said these Ambulances would help to ensure the timely treatment to the patients in the hospitals.He said Corona Virus was a huge threat to human life and the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was committed to ensuring that people do not face any sort of problem.Chaudhary Santokh Singh said that no stone would be left unturned to ensure quality health services.He thanked ZEE for their support in this time when there is a need for collective efforts to curb the pandemic.Prominent among present on the occasion included Additional Deputy commissioner Jasbir Singh, SDM Dr Jai Inder Singh, Congress leaders Sukhwinder Lalli, Honey Joshi and others.
