As a part of the Jan Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Saturday visited Block Mendhar and presided over two Jan Abhiyan Meetings at different locations.The PRI members raised a host of local issues including augmentation of water and power supply, improvement in Health Care facilities, improvement of roads etc.The specific issues raised during the meeting included wavering of crop Loan, Construction of Ghair road of Panchayat Chackbanola, Ralian to Linjot road of Panchayat Goi, completion of Link road Dharana, Malikpur Gohlad road, completion of 8 KM Batidhar Kulian road, Opening of Anganwadi Centre at Panchayat Bhatidhar, completion of Layi Lanjote PHE lift Scheme etc.The District Development Commissioner, after giving a patient hearing, said that Poonch Administration is making persistent efforts to redress all the genuine issues and demands of the public to mitigate their sufferings and to ensure that they do not feel any inconvenience in getting the basic necessities of life.He informed that as many as 36 PHE schemes have been sanctioned for Mehndar to meet the water supply demand in the Block. He also highlighted benefits of various welfare schemes launched by the Government for the general public and asked the PRI members to disseminate information among the public about these schemes so that they can avail the benefits.
