Jan Abhiyan : Operational preparedness discussed at Ganderbal

A meeting of district and sectoral officers was today conducted at Ganderbal to discuss the operational preparedness for effective implementation of Jan-Abhiyan (Pre-B2V3).While discussing the modalities for smooth conduct of Jan-Abhiyan, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal said that the campaign will start from September 10 and culminate on September 30, 2020 during which Block Divas will be observed in every block of the district.The meeting was informed that Block Divas will be observed on every Wednesday of this month during which all departmental functionaries shall be available at notified places in all 7 blocks with all support staff to ensure immediate and on spot disposal of applications and redressal of grievances.It was decided that the concerned BDOs and Tehsildars will be Nodal Officers who shall ensure participation of every line department in Block Divas.The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure mass awareness cum sensitization during Jan Abhiyan related to welfare schemes and facilitate people for applying these schemes so that benefits are procured at grass root level.The officers were also directed to ensure implementation of SOP to prevent spread of COVID-19 while conducting Jan-Abhiyan activities.Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ASP Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, ACR, ACD, CPO, CMO and CEO besides other district and sectoral officers.
