SSP Vigilance Patiala Range Mr. Mandeep Singh Sidhu informed that Vigilance Police Patiala nabs a Dental Doctor posted at PHC Bhwanigarh dist Sangrur caught red handed taking bribe of Rs 8500. SSP Sidhu said that the complainant Nirbhai Singh Bhullar of Vill Masani teh Bhwanigarh has alleged that Dental Doctor posted at Bhwanigarh dist Sangrur has accepted Rupees 2,000 and is further demanding a bribe of Rupees 8,500 from him for treatment of teeth of his wife Smt Gurjeet Kaur. Mr. Sidhu said that he produced copy of the video recording containing demand of the bribe amount from the complainant.Divulging the details SSP vigilance said that on this FIR no. 14 Dated 21/8/2020 u/s 7 PC Act 1988 as amended by PC (Amedment ) Act 2018 PS VB Patiala Range patiala has been registered against dental Dr Surjeet Chaudhry posted at CHC Bhawnigarh on the complaint of Nirbhai Singh.Sidhu said that the trap was laid to arrest the accused in presence of two independent govt witnesses.
