Independence Day arrangements finalized at Ganderbal

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of officers to review and finalize arrangements for upcoming Independence Day  celebration in the district.It was informed in the meeting that the main function will be held at Government Physical College Gadoora, Ganderbal where the tricolour will be unfurled  by the chief guest followed by the march past presented by contingents drawn from District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC and  PTS Manigam.The DDC directed the concerned  departments to ensure proper arrangements related to security, sanitation, seating, power and water supply, issuance of invitation cards, transportation and illumination of  important buildings besides medicare and ambulance facilities on Independence Day.The DC urged the ADC who is designated as overall Nodal Officer for arrangements to  ensure hand sanitizer and face masks are kept available at the main entrance to ensure everyone has put face mask.The DDC while impressing upon the officers to show  coordination, stressed that the committees already formulated will finalize all the arrangements before 13th August, the day of full dress rehearsal.ADC, Farooq Ahmed Baba, SSP  Ganderbal, ACR, SDM Kangan, CMO, Executive Engineers of PHE and R&B, EO Municipality, DIO Ganderbal were present in the meeting.
