To honor the Corona warriors who have made “Mission Fateh Punjab” a success by their invaluable contribution in helping the needy during the Covid-19 pandemic, a special and simple function was organized at the Govt Industrial Training Institute for women, Phase-5 Mohali, in which the Principal-Cum-District Nodal Officer Sh. Shamsher Singh Purkhalvi  has awarded about two dozen trainees and employees with letters of appreciation and mementos.Addressing the staff members and trainees involved in this impressive event, Mr. Purkhalvi said that it has been the nature of Punjabis to always work together in the human interest during any natural calamity due to which the suffering has always been alleviated easily. He said that in those difficult days when the people were locked in their homes, the trainees and employees of the institute under a comprehensive strategy had manufactured 46,561 cloth masks at their homes and provided them to personnel including health workers, police, cleaners, and migrant labourers and set an example by distributing freely among other needy people which is to be commended. Mr. Purkhalvi also said that under the Mission Fateh Punjab announced by the Chief Minister Punjab, these trainees have also played a vital role in educating the people in various ways to save them from Covid-19.He said that 10 girls who made more than 2000 masks from various institutes all over the Punjab would also be accorded special honors by the  Technical Education And Industrial Training Pb. Cabinet Minister Sardar Charanjit Singh Channi during a special function to be organized by the Punjab government on August 4. On this occasion Rajwinder Kaur, an honored trainees in the sewing technology trade of the institute said that our Principal and Teachers have taught us the technique of being useful to someone at an early age. During this natural calamity we are feeling lucky to come to someone's aid. On this occasion  instructors of the institute Mr. Varinderpal Singh, Mrs. Upasana Attri, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Dalla, Mrs. Darshna Kumari, Anil Kumar Saini, Mrs. Jasveer Kaur and Mrs. Rajni Banga, Gurbachan Singh, Kumari Alka, Mr. Maninderpal Singh and Anil Kumar Were also Present. . Rakesh Dalla played the role of stage management very well.
