Divisional Commissioner Patiala, Chander Gaind today took stock of prevailing COVID situation and asked district officials to take strict measures to contain the spread of pandemic in the district.Chairing a meeting of district officials including Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit, SP (H) Navneet Singh Bains and Civil Surgeon Dr Harish Malhotra, Divisional Commissioner Mr. Gaind asked the officials to dealt with strictly to whom, who would violate the mandatory precautions to prevent COVID.He was apprised of the details of positive cases, contact tracing, testing, isolation, quarantine cases and containment zones by the Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit. Mr. Gaind while giving directions to the district officials to contain the further spread of pandemic, said that all the precautions be followed by all the residents must to make district COVID free in line of Mission Fateh guidelines.Calling upon the residents for strictly adhering to the precautions related to prevention of COVID, Divisional Commissioner said that we must wear mask besides maintaining social distancing and washing of hands regularly to stop the spread of CORONA VIRUS.Civil Surgeon Dr. Harish Malhotra while apprising Divisional Commissioner Sh. Chander Gaind of the medical facilities, contact tracing and availability of the beds for positive patients said that the Health Department was putting in best possible efforts to identify and test the residents of containment areas besides providing isolation facilities to the positive cases.SP (H) Navneet Singh Bains while reporting the performance of District Police in prevention of CORONA, said that District Police had slapped plenty of fines on those who were not abiding by the precautions of wearing masks, maintaining social maintenance.Photo Caption: Commissioner Patiala Division Mr. Chander Gaind takes stock of COVID-19 situation  with Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit, S.P.
