District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today hailed the efforts of AYUSH work force, working at forefront along with modern medicine staff during this Corona pandemic.On the occasion District AYUSH Officer Ganderbal also District Nodal Officer Dr Mushtaq Ahmad briefed the district Administration about the role of AYUSH, role of YOGA for immunity and wellbeing of body, mind and soul.Nodal Officer Government Unani College Ganderbal, Dr Shabir Ahmad thanked the district Administration for providing support for early commissioning of the proposed Unani Medical College and Hospital Nawabagh Ganderbal.The DDC stressed to create mass awareness about the centuries old accepted traditional systems of medicine especially Unani among general masses and to carry forward the missionary work of the medical profession with dedication and devotion for overall promotion of health and prevention of diseases.He also laid stress to identify the core competence areas of traditional medicines including various regimental therapies so that people at large are benefited by these affordable and accessible AYUSH medicines.Various officers of district Administration and Officials of AYUSH Department were present in the meeting.
