In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, AYUSH Immunity Booster medicines distribution cum awareness camp was held for SSF personnel of Raj Bhavan today.During the camp, the Department of AYUSH, J&K distributed free Immunity Booster medicines to the SSF & BSF personnel.Dr. Iftikhar Gazi, Divisional Nodal officer ISM, COVID-19, Kashmir gave a detailed briefing on the importance of strong immunity in fighting against COVID-19 and other various important health aspects related to the deadly disease. He informed about the initiatives and measures undertaken by the ISM (AYUSH) to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in J&K.AYUSH Experts- Dr. Amjad Waheed and Dr. Shakoor demonstrated the effective uses of AYUSH immunity boosters. They laid stress on inculcating exercise, yoga and other healthy practices in day to day life, besides adopting a behaviour change to protect oneself not only from COVID-19 but also from other diseases to lead a healthy life. Interactive session was also held where the experts answered the queries of the participants.Meanwhile, Sh. Vinay Kumar, Joint Director Hqrs interacted with the SSF personnel and asked them to follow all the preventive measures to protect themselves and their families from the spread of COVID-19. He also thanked the ISM team for conducting the camp to spread awareness about the importance of immunity boosters in view of the prevailing pandemic situation.Sh. Ranjit Singh, Joint Director Ops; Sh. Rajpal Singh, SP and Sh. Imtiyaz Ahmed, AD Lines were also present on the occasion.
