The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's student wing (CYSS) on riday staged a protest in front of the BJP headquarters in Chandigarh against the central government's decision to allow conduct of final semester of university exams pending due to the Corona epidemic.Speaking to the media here on Friday, in charge of the local unit of the CYSS Resham Singh Godara said that amid the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, the decision taken by the Union government to conduct examinations by some universities was detrimental to the lives of the students at large. The decision of the Ministry of Human Resources to conduct the final semester examinations was tantamount to playing with the lives of the students. He questioned the union Government as to how it could decide to conduct the examinations now amid the outbreak of the Corona epidemic touching a new high, adding that a majority of students had not even completed their syllabus properly during the pandemic-induced lockdown and were not in the mood take the exams. He mounted a veiled attack on the BJP-led central government, asking it to explain to the students and their parents as to what was the necessity of the government that prompted it to allow the conduct of varsity exams, jeopardizing the lives of students. He demanded that the government should reverse its decision, which seemed to have been taken in a tearing hurry, sooner than later, failing which the CYSS would stage a massive protest all across the state.Others who were present on the occasion included, Navjot Singh Saini, Satvir Singh Seera
