The District Magistrate, Anantnag, K.K.Sidha along with Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Sameer Matoo and Nodal Officer COVID-19 Dr. Owais Ahmad today visited Toll Post Lowermunda to assess the arrangements for augmentation of COVID-19 sample collection centre for truckers.The DM asked for the functioning of the COVID-19 testing centre within two days for which he sought the attention of Director Health Services & Nodal Officer COVID-19 for deployment of 24 technicians for collection samples of the truckers.The Director Health Services Kashmir and Nodal Officer COVID-19 directed CMOs of Anantnag and Kulgam to depute 12 technicians from each district to make the COVID-19 sample collection centre functional at the location.The sample collection centre shall function round the clock and ensure the COVID testing of the drivers ferrying vehicles on national highway.The DM, Anantnag asked CMOs of both the districts to submit the list of requirements for which funds will be made available from Disaster Management Fund.He also assured of providing other facilities including drinking water, power and other basic facilities.The ADC, Anantnag, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, CMO Anantnag, CMO Kulgam and officers from various departments were present during the inspection.
