In a big bonanza for the cops deployed in the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today started the distribution of 500 watches which have been sent by bollywood ACTOR Mr. Akshay Kumar for frontline covid warrior cops.In a simple but impressive function held at the local Police lines under the aegis of under ‘Mission Fateh’ launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Commissioner of Police started the campaign by handing the Smart watches of Goqii company, of which Mr. Akshay Kumar was the brand Ambassador, to Sub Inspector Ms. Amanpreet Kaur, Assistant Sub Inspector Mr. Vijay Kumar, Senior Constables Mr. Ravi Kumar and Mr. Rajpal Singh, Constables Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Mr. Shiv Singh and Mr. Harpreet Singh.Profusely thanking the bollywood Actor Mr. Akshay Kumar, who has taken this personal initiative as a recognition to marvelous service rendered by the force during the Covid 19 pandemic, the Commissioner of Police said that this would boost the morale of the cops rendering very hard duty amidst of the Corona Virus. He said that the bollywood Actor has already given such watches to Mumbai and Nasik Police adding that he has send 500 watches to be distributed amongst the frontline Corona Warriors. Mr. Bhullar said that it was really a proud moment for all of us that bollywood star has chosen Jalandhar Commissionerate Police for this noble cause.

The Commissioner of Police said that these Smart Watches were inbuilt with several unique features like body temperature check, Blood Pressure Monitoring besides an integrated control under a single roof where the health of bearers of these watches would be monitored. He said that this was one of its kind welfare initiative of the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police along with the cooperation of the philanthropists like Mr. Akshay Kumar to ensure the well being of the cops. Mr. Bhullar said that more such initiatives would be taken in the coming days to ensure the welfare of the Police personnel.Meanwhile addressing the gathering the Commissioner of Police envisioned that the 'Mission Fateh' launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would act as a catalyst for the revival of the state from the Corona Virus Pandemic. He said that the Mission would emerge as a symbol of firm resolve of the people of Punjab to check the spread of novel coronavirus through discipline, cooperation and compassion. Mr. Bhullar said that the 'Mission Fateh' was a true reflection of the Punjabi spirit to overcome all odds for emerging victorious even in hostile circumstances.Exhorting the officers to ensure ‘Mission Fateh'- a huge success, the Commissioner of Police said that the Mission was primarily aimed at spreading mass awareness about the Covid 19 pandemic. He said that during the drive emphasis was being laid on recognizing the threat of the virus, which continues to pose serious dangers to the people. Mr. Bhullar said that Mission would help in creating a positive atmosphere in the state thereby enabling the people to emerge victorious of global pandemic. On the occasion, the Commissioner of Police also administered oath to the officers for performing their duty well to defeat Corona Virus.Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioners of Police Ms. D Sudharvizhi, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Mr. Arun Saini and Mr. Naresh Dogra, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police Ms. Vatsala Gupta, Mr. Jagjit Singh Saroya, Mr. Gagnesh Kumar, Mr. Harpreet Singh and Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Satinder Chadha, Mr. Bimal Kant, Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh, Mr. Barjinder Singh and others.
