The State Government was according topmost priority for development of far flung and remote areas of the State so as to bring them in the mainstream of development. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing virtual rally of BJP Churah Mandal of Chamba district from Shimla today.Chief Minister said that Chamba district being the farther district from the State headquarter, the present Government was committed for its overall development. He said that several welfare schemes have been initiated for the development of the district so that prosperity could be brought in the district. He said that Churah area of Chamba district besides being a remote area was also a difficult and hard from topographic point view and therefore it requires special attention of the State Government which it was paying.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has opened Division of Public Works Department to ensure that the various road projects in the area were completed within the stipulated time period. He said that the government has also opened a Division of Jal Shakti Vibhag to ensure proper drinking water and irrigation facilities in the area.Chief Minister said that State Government has also upgraded Civil Hospital Tissa to 100 bedded Civil Hospital so as to provide better health care facilities to the people of the area. He said that as many as 13 doctors have also been posted in this hospital to cater to the health care requirements of the local populace.  

He said that work was on progress regarding bus stand at Bhanjradu in Tissa to facilitate the people.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government during the present Covid-19 scenario has ensured that the pace of development does not suffer. He said that the State Government was making optimum use of information technology to not only monitor the various developmental works but also to keep close liaison with the people about their developmental aspirations. He said that although there have been a sharp increase in cases of Covid-19 in the State but still the situation was under control and people need not worry as the people reported Covid-19 positive were either in institutional quarantine or home quarantine.Chief Minister said that the performance of the State in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic has been appreciated not only by Prime Minister Narendra Modi but it has also been appreciated by other agencies.Jai Ram Thakur asked the party functionaries to give befitting reply to the false and nefarious propaganda of the Congress leaders as they have nothing to do except criticizing the government in an attempt to remain in news.Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar and Deputy Speaker Hansraj also spoke on the occasion.Vice Chairman State Civil Supply Corporation Baldev Tomar and OSD to Chief Minister Shishu Dharma were also present with the Chief Minister at Shimla.District BJP President Yog Raj presented vote of thanks.BJP General Secretary and Incharge of Kangra and Chamba Parliamentary constituency Trilok Kapur, District Incharge Umesh Dutt, President Churah Mandal BJP Tara Chand, Incharge Churah Vidhan Sabha area Ashok Bagariya also shared their views in the virtual rally.
