Government Polytechnic College Jammu today organized a Webinar on “Solid Works” for the faculty and students. Er. Rahul Pathak and Er. Deepankar Raj Malik from CETPA InfoTech Pvt Ltd conducted one day online workshop on Solid Works for the faculty and students of Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Civil Engineering of Government Polytechnic College Jammu.The experts enlightened the audience about the different software available to design in the modern era. They practically aimed and focused on technical skill Domain and software Domain of solid works software by explaining its use in various projects. The faculty and students were enlightened about the use of SOLIDWORKS as a very productive 3D CAD software tool in manufacturing and design.Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, Er. Arun Bangotra greeted the speaker and participants and emphasized the importance of such online webinars as very crucial for all round development of students and making them aware of new software technologies apart from standard course curriculum.  He called these as a great platform for exchange of ideas especially when country is under Lockdown due to COVID-19. He also applauded the efforts of Mechanical Department for organizing such event in collaboration with CEPTA InfoTech Pvt Ltd Noida.All the faculty members and students were present online from their homes in the session. The session was very interesting and interactive. Students had enriched experience through the interaction of the speakers while getting updated with latest technologies. The speaker gave a talk starting from the fundamentals of solid works to new upcoming technologies like use of Ansys software.Er. K S Bhatia H.O.D Mechanical department also spoke on the benefits of learning solid works for students as not only this tool will enhance their knowledge but it will also increase their chance of getting job easily over others.Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Department, Er. Sanam Gupta presented vote of thanks.
