In a major Development in J&K the Home Department Revokes Detention order of Former Chief Minister and Senior NC (National Confrence ) leader Dr Abdullah under PSA (Public safety order) on Friday.The Principal Secretary to Government Shaleen kabra today issued order read as, An order issued by home department vide no Home /PB-V/702 of 2020, dated 13-03-2020 reads that the government revokes the detention order bearing number DMS/PSA/120/2020 dated 15-09-2019 issued by District Magistrate, Srinagar, extended for a period of three months vide government order number Home/PB-V/340 of 2019 dated 13-12-2019 and then extended for a further period of three months of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, son of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah with immediate effect.Pertinently Farooq abdullah was detained after abrogation of Art 370 in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 and later was booked under PSA.National Confrence welcomes the decision and told release of Party Leader a step in right direction.Party spokesperson issued a statement and said when party vice-president Omar Abdullah and other political detainees are set free. We urge the government to do so at the earliest”,People's Democratic Party (PDP) welcomes the move and demands release political, leaders, activists and civil society members, who were detained after August 5, 2019.
