The Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu today said that Mohali would be made a model city from development point of view to ensure that the people here get to enjoy the fruits of development oriented projects being undertaken.Reiterating his commitment that funds would not be a problem in carrying out the development works, Mr. Sidhu said that Mohali is earning fame as the IT hub with the world class infrastructure coming up here. Mr. Sidhu today initiated the project near NIPER institute in Ph-10 to change the main sewerage pipeline of Mohali under the AMRUT scheme and expressed hope that the project would be a long-term solution of the issue pertaining to drainage of sewerage water. The Health Minister further said that the project would see the new modern sewerage pipeline being laid in Phase - 1, 2, 3b1, 3b2, 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11 whereas the earlier 40-45 year old pipeline was based on the Brick Dart System.
