District Administration Bandipora finalised arrangements for Phase-II of ‘Back to Village’ programme.Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza said the programme will be organized in three phases with officers spending two days and one night in each panchayat. He informed that for 151 Panchayats 138 district and 13 senior officers from Secretariat have been deputed. He said that the nodal officers have also been deputed along with the visiting officers who will assist the visiting officers while the field staff of the line departments will also be present in the Panchayats during the programme.He said the theme of the second phase of B2V is “Doubling the farmers income” with special focus on the agriculture sector in the valley.He said that in the first phase of Back to Village programme Rs 4.14 Cr have been sanctioned to complete 121 works including works under RDD, PHD, R&B, Health and Education. He said Rs 2.69 Cr have been released for the completion of works out of the total sanctioned amount of Rs 4.14 Cr.He said the programme is primarily aimed at energizing the Panchayats and directing development efforts in rural areas through community participation. He urged the people to participate in the programme with enthusiasm so that they can send their feedback to the government and will also put forward their issues.Earlier Deputy Commissioner inaugurated a two days training programme for the visiting officers and the nodal officers in which  officers from the rural Development Department apprised the officers about the modalities of second phase of the programme.
