Just after a span of 70 days, restoration of postpaid cellular services brought back hope and happiness amid ongoing uncertainty among people of Kashmir even though long queues were seen at billing counters and recharge outlets across Srinagar.According to wire news service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the restoration of cellular services eased up the inconvenience of people across Kashmir.  Soon after the restoration of mobile phone services, people started talking to their relatives for hours together with hundreds of people flooding the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.As per Mudasir Raja, a businessman from Srinagar, “The restoration of cellular services should be eased before any other initiatives as it’s a primary step in restoring normalcy and de-escalating any situation.”He said that by the restoration of cellular services they are back to business right after a gap of about 70 days. He further added that, “The restoration of cellular services is undoubtedly a welcome step in bringing back the normalcy in the region as with the restoration of services rumour mongering will surely come to an end.”Rohit Sethi, a tourist from Delhi told KNO, “The restoration of cellular telephony services is going help us a lot as during our stay in valley we encountered great difficulties while communicating with valley based hoteliers, local guides and our families while we are on the move.”He said that they are now expecting the state administration to restore the mobile internet services at earliest so that most of the tourists could make the use of Global Positioning Services (GPS). As the ongoing mobile internet blockade has made the Global Positioning Services (GPS) sheer useless. He further added, “The clampdown of mobile internet services due to which our GPS is not working has compelled us to hire a local guide which is not only affecting  our allocated budgets but makes us dependent too.” (KNO)
