Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai today held a meeting to review stock and supply position of essential commodities and winter dumping for snow bound areas  of Kashmir and Ladakh region.The meeting was attended by Secretary FCS&CA, P K Pole,  Director FCS&CA Kashmir Mohammad Qasim Wani, Controller Legal  Metrology V S Sambyal, Joint Director FCS&CA,  Deputy Director FCS&CA and Assistant Directors of all districts.The meeting was informed that 80% ration for the  month of September has been dispatched and disbursed among people. The meeting was further informed that enough stocks are available for the next three months in  Kashmir Valley. The stock position of LPG and other petroleum products is normal and there is adequate stock of all non PDS items in the market, the meeting was  told.The Advisor directed the officials to ensure advance dumping of essential commodities in all snow bound areas of Kashmir valley including Gurez, Tanghdar, Keran,  Machil, Kumkandi, other higher reaches of other districts and Ladakh also. He was informed that till date 50-60 percent of all essential commodities have been  already  dumped in these areas and the entire exercise will be completed by 15th October.The Advisor directed the officials of Legal Metrology to keep a check on the prices in  market and act against those who violate norms. He also directed all Assistant Directors to tour their respective areas and redress the grievances of rationees.
