Women and Child Development Department, Sri Muktsar Sahib is celebrating Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month) under which different activities are being carried to aware pregnant women and mothers of children about nutritious food, as per directions of government.  As a part of these activities Anganwadi workers and helpers of block Lambi are spreading message of Poshan through Folk activities like Jago.Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Mr. M K Aravind Kumar 'Poshan Jago' rallies has organized in the village Mandi Killianwali and Bhai Ka Kera by CDPO Paramjit Kaur and her team. Divulging the detail, District Programme Officer Ratandeep Sandhu said that cultural activities are very helpful to convey meaningful message to the people especially in rural areas. Many activities like Jago Rallies, street plays are being carried under Poshan Maah and today’ s activity was Godh Bharai (Baby Shower), She added. Under this activity programme held in Kheowali, Khudiyan, Maha singh, Alamwala, Bhagwanpura, Burj Sidhwan, Kattiawali, Karampatti, Lambi, Raniwala, Dabra, Ena Khera, Malout, Aspal, Gurusar Jodha, Ratta Kheda, Bedowali, Midda, Lalbai, Sarawan Bodla, Bodiwala, Fatta Khera, Mann, Bhitiwala, Middu Khera, Ghumiara, Chapianwali, Sekhu, Jhorar, Danewala, Rathrian, Mehna, Kingra, Hakuwala, Malwala, Kolianwali etc. Apart from this street plays organized in many villages including Kotbhai, Malout etc.
