Pawan Ashri, National President of the Bhartiya Patarkar Kalyan Manch, called on Governor Kalraj Mishra at Raj Bhavan, Shimla today and congratulated him on taking over as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.On this occasion, the forum also presented a memorandum demanding to introduce pension facility for journalists of Himachal, Ayushman Bharat Swasthya Yojana and other welfare schemes on the lines of the Haryana government. Shri Ashri apprised the Governor that all accredited journalists, above the age of 60 years having 5 years accredited from the Haryana government and 20 years of experience in any the newspaper was being provided with a monthly pension of 10 thousand rupees. Apart from this, all the accredited journalists of the state have also been associated with the Government of India Ayushman Yojana.The Governor gave sympathetic consideration to the demand of Bhartiya Patarkar Kalyan Manch.In another courtesy call, Tenzin Norbu, Chief Representative of Central Tibetan Administration, Shimla, and other representatives also called-on and honoured the Governor. The delegation also invited the Governor to visit Headquarter of the Tibetan government in exile at Dharamshala in Kangra district.The Governor urged the representatives of voluntary organizations who came to meet him to come forward to help the affected families due to the damage caused by heavy rains in the state for the last several days.
