Façade Improvement work on Amritsar Hall Bazar and Katra Jaimal Singh Road Amritsar. A Project under Infrastructure Development Investment Programme for Tourism(Pb) (Asian Development Bank with Govt. of Punjab Assisted Projects) being Implemented through Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board. The façade Improvement work on the Heritage Street of Hall Bazar and Katra Jaimal Singh was inaugurated today by Hon’ble Minister of Medical Education and Research Department Punjab Shri O.P.Soni.The total cost of the project is Rs.14.97 Cr. The work involves façade improvement giving uniform look to the entire street from Hall Gate to Town Hall and Town Hall via Katra Jaimal Singh to outside road. The function was attended by the Municipal Counselors, office bearers and Members of Market Associations of the entire stretch of Hall Bazar and Katra Jaimal Singh. This intitative of Punjab Govt. was appreciated by all the participants stating it to be a mile stone in the façade improvement of the Holly City. With the completion of this project, the entire streets shall be giving a heritage and uniform look. The façade of these streets shall be illuminated by façade lighting.This will be a source of attraction for visiting Domestic and Foreign Tourists to Holly City particularly the pilgrims going to Shri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple).On this occasion, Project Manager Mr. AR Mishra, Deputy Mayor Mr. Younis Kumar, Councilor Mr. Vikas Soni, Councilor Mrs. Rajbir Kaur, President of Amritsar Congress City Smt.
