Ranjit Singh Brahmpura , president SAD (Taksali) and Khadoor Sahib MP on Wednesday inaugurated the election office of its candidate Bir Devinder Singh at Anandpur Sahib. Meanwhile Taksali leaders met Raghbir Singh Jathedar (Head Priest) Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib to discuss some Panthic and religious issues of the Sikh community before the inauguration of the poll office of Bir Devinder Singh. He requested the jathedar to help uphold the image of sikh community and do something towards the dented image of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and SGPC during the Badal family rule. The Taksali Akali leadership also sought blessings of almighty god to contest elections at Takht Kesgarh Sahib.He said that there was a sharp decline in the dignity of Sikh institutions during the Badal government because they used them for their selfish interests only to rule over the state and gain the political strengh .Brahmpura reffered to sacrilege issue at Bargari and Behbal Kalan firing incidents besides pardon to the Dera Saccha Sauda Chief.Brahmpura also termed the decision of election commision of India to remove senior member of Special Investigation Team (SIT), Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh who was investigating these issues and people had high hopes from his investigations that now truth will come out .But now his removal has dashed the hopes of the people.Talking to the media persons here Brahmpura said that SAD (Taksali) is the real Akali Dal which was formed in 1920 the other Akali Dal has been destroyed by Badal family only to grab political powers in the state.
"They say that Taksali's have no existence , but we have formed the party only 3 months ago.we have garnered huge public support during this period. We are not against the Akali Party ,but we are against the Badal's who have destroyed sikh principles dented the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib for their personal and political gains .They even secured pardon to Dera Saccha Sauda Chief who is a rapist ,"Brahmpura alleged.Replying to another query by the media persons SAD has to field both its big guns Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal only to boost the declining morale of the party workers but the people will teach them a lesson for their misdeeds in the past Brahmpura said.Speaking on the drug issues Brahmpura said that Captain Amrinder Singh deceived the people by swearing with Gutka Sahib in hand that he will finish drug use in the state but rather the use of drugs is on increase due to the police-politician nexus."We are fighting againt both the Congress and SAD .Congress demolished our Akal Takht Sahib ,burned the Sikhs with tyres around their necks and massacred our community. Badal family even surpassed them by severely destroying the Sikh Maryada ,"Brahmpura alleged. He said that sitting MP from Anandpur Sahib Prem Singh Chandumajra has no performance in the parliament during the past 5 years. Retreating that his party would support Bibi Paramjeet Kaur Khalra in Khadoor Sahib constituency but if there is a loss due to the ego of Sukhpal Singh Khaira feilding her as a PDA candidate , it would be his responsibility. Prominent among present were Secretary General Sewa Singh Sekhwan ,Vice President Ujagar Singh Wadali, General Secretary Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, Harsukhinder Singh alias Bubby Badal, Adv. Anantvir Singh, Ranjit Singh Brar, OSD Damanjeet Singh and Secretary Gagan Bains.
